The NBA HOF Just Got Trill
Posted on 12 September 2016
The NBA inducted their 2016 Hall of Fame class and on it were two Houston legends!
Yao Ming, 35, was introduced by Dikembe Mutombo, Russell and Bill Walton into the NBA HOF. That's great company to be associated with! Listening to everyone talk about Yao Ming you can hear that they all genuinely believe that he is HOF caliber, despite the twitterverse objecting. Steve Francis even took to "The Players Tribune" to express graditude for our 7'6 phenom.
Sheryl Swoopes, 45, was more of a unanimous decision amongst fans and with great reason! Swoopes was the first player signed by the WNBA and won three league MVP awards, four WNBA championships and two scoring titles with the Houston Comets. She was inducted by former coach Van Chancellor and Nancy Lieberman. Swoopes' WNBA career isn't over as she's been coaching for a few years now in Chicago.
The 2016 class also included Shaq, Allen Iverson, Tom Izzo, and Jerry Reinsdorf.
