New Maxo Alert

Posted on 27 June 2016

Houston artist Maxo Kream has treated his fans well this week!

After dropping the video for "1998" the focus in the Kream camp quickly shifted to Maxo's upcoming mixtape "The Persona Tape." Not too much was known about the project and then he dropped the single "Big Worm" produced by long time collaborator Ryan ESL. The lyrics stand with the best of his tracks, which is a positive way of going into this next tape. All eyes are going to be on Maxo this go round, afterall, he's made a big name for himself in not only our city but cities around the country.

This week Maxo not only dropped the video for "Big Worm" but the coveted tracklist that fans have been waiting for to further the hype. The tracklist is as follows:

1. Choppas *Produced by Wlderness

2. Big Worm *Produced by Ryan ESL

3. Karo *Produced by Wlderness

4. Hit Man *Produced by Pe$o Piddy

5. Smash Featuring Paul Wall *Produced by Ryan ESL

6. G3 *Produced by Tommy Kruise

7. Coming Down *Produced by Chuck Inglish

8. Out The Door *Produced by Wolfe de Mchis

9. Smoke Break *Produced by Chuck Inglish

10. Talking Shit Featuring D Flowers *Produced by Wlderness

11. Shop *Produced by Ryan ESL

12. Spike Lee Featuring Playboi Carti & Rich The Kid *Produced by Chuck Inglish

13. None of yall *Produced by Slug Christ

The first thing that should stand out to you is the Paul Wall feature! There's no truer "Houston Stamp of Approval" than getting a feature from an OG in Houston music. Maxo also being a huge fan of the group "The Cool Kids" also takes the opportunity to enlist Chuck Inglish on the production of three tracks! Which, if you've followed Maxo's career is truly a coming full circle moment. Back when Kream was gaining traction you'd be hard pressed not to hear them rap over a variety of Cool Kids beats. You also see the name of rapper D Flowers, who, if you remember our "Kream Chronicles" anniversary article, was told to be "up next in Kream."

The Persona Tape drops June 28th so be on the look out for that and here's the video to Maxo's "Big Worm"
