It's Time To Wake Up On Retrokash
Posted on 21 September 2016
Rapping for the better part of 3 years, Louisiana raised/Houston paid artist, Retrokash puts emcees in their place!
Retrokash is the kind of artist Andre 3000 had in mind when he stood and said "The South Has Something To Say" Originally from Louisiana, Retrokash has called Houston home for a little more than a decade and his style is definitely a healthy blend of both sounds.
You can hear in some of his beat selections (Ex: "Open Letter" "Memories") a subtle Houston vibe but then when he spits you can almost immediately hear that Louisiana hotboy twang. The two intertwine and make a mixture that sounds like the best of Master P with a twist of Lil Wayne. Kash has been rapping his ass off as well with solid songs for the ladies and generally badass bangers for your system etc. Do not let this man's punchlines and zest go by the way side, because you will hear about this man again if you continue to sleep after this piece.
With cosigns from a few Houston players it's only a matter of time before Retrokash is the guy people will love to hate! He just wrapped the shooting for his newest video "Bucked Up" which is off of his latest EP Gold Graffiti.
